HUG Highlights TrophiPatch™ Clinical Trial in New Communication Campaign (01 Jun 2026)

The ongoing RESCUE-PATCH Phase I/IIa clinical trial continues to progress at the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG), evaluating the safety and preliminary efficacy of TrophiPatch in patients suffering from chronic, non-healing wounds.

Since the treatment of the first patient in November 2025, patient recruitment has continued and clinical follow-up is ongoing.

The study, sponsored by the Division of Dermatology of HUG and conducted in collaboration with HekeTiss, aims to assess an innovative regenerative therapy based on adipose-derived stromal cells embedded within a gelatin matrix.

As part of its innovation communication activities, HUG recently released a video presenting the clinical trial and the translational journey of this technology, from academic research to clinical evaluation and spin-off development.

We thank HUG, the University of Geneva (UNIGE), and the Fondation privée des HUG for their continued support of this project.
